In collaboration with UNICEF and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Green Dream Organization (GDO) is dedicated to eradicating Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) in humanitarian work. Through targeted training sessions and workshops, we equip service providers at both government and field levels, as well as children, adolescents, and adults, with the knowledge and tools to uphold the

IASC Six Core Principles on PSEA.

GDO enforces a zero-tolerance policy on SEA, ensuring all employees and related personnel adhere to strict ethical standards, including the prohibition of sexual activity with minors, exploitation through transactional relationships, and abuse of power. Empowering Girls in White Nile State: Building Futures Through Small Projects

Green Dream Organization, in partnership with the Social Welfare, the Commission of Refugee, and with funding from UNICEF, is committed to protecting and empowering girls in White Nile State. Through our project, "Providing an Integrated Learning Space to Save Children's Lives, Protecting Children from Violence and Abuse, and Increasing Independence in Acute Emergency Situations," we're working to mitigate the risks of gender-based violence, early marriage, and Female Genital Manipulation (FGM)

These collaborative efforts between local and international organizations are contributing to a brighter future for girls, providing them with a safe and supportive environment to grow and become independent, while raising community awareness about the importance of girls' economic empowerment.

Green Dream Organization Celebrates International Day against Female Genital Mutilation in White Nile State, Sudan

Green Dream Organization (GDO), in partnership with the Child Welfare and Social Care Council, the Ministry of Education and Guidance, and with funding from UNICEF, marked the International Day against Harmful Practices, particularly Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), on February 6, 2025. This year's global theme was "Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation and Cutting."

The event, held in Al-Salam Locality, Um Sangour area, White Nile State, showcased the impact of GDO's integrated and life-saving educational spaces project, which focuses on child protection and promoting independence in emergencies. This project, implemented across 33 safe learning spaces in Kosti and Rabak Localities, provides crucial support to children, especially girls.

Under the banner "We gathered to be healthy," the celebration saw enthusiastic participation from girls, mothers, families, and community members. Girls bravely shared their experiences and insights into the harmful effects of FGM, vowing to prioritize their health and well-being. Mothers expressed solidarity with their daughters, while local legal midwives announced their commitment to ending the practice and raising awareness about its dangers.

A highlight of the event was the active role of the girls themselves. They became powerful advocates against FGM, emphasizing that it is not merely a harmful custom but a crime. Their commitment to the “Every Female is Healthy” charter demonstrated a growing understanding and resolves to eradicate this harmful practice.

This event is a significant stride in the fight against FGM, championing girls' rights to health and safety, and underscoring the vital role of community engagement in this humanitarian effort. GDO, with support from UNICEF, is dedicated to creating a safer and more supportive environment for children, particularly girls, by providing access to quality education and raising awareness about the devastating consequences of harmful practices like FGM. These joint efforts are crucial in building a brighter future for children in White Nile State
