Teachers Training - August 2025

GDO recently conducted a comprehensive training program for 30 teachers from leading technical teams for the period from August 8th to August 25th, 2025, the sessions were focused on the innovative UPSHIFT program, aimed at empowering teachers to become effective facilitators for youth.

The training was structured around three core pillars:

• Life Skills: Fostering self-development, effective communication, and collaborative teamwork.

• Social Innovation: Equipping participants with the skills to analyze societal problems and develop creative, innovative solutions.

• Entrepreneurship: Promoting an entrepreneurial mindset and encouraging the development of productive youth initiatives and projects.

This intensive training has equipped the teachers with the skills to integrate these crucial topics into the educational process. The immediate impact is clear: these 30 newly-trained educators are now prepared to train a new generation of 600 young people. This initiative will directly contribute to empowering youth with practical skills for financial independence and self-reliance.

By strengthening the role of teachers as mentors and facilitators, this program reinforces their critical function in supporting students and youth to solve challenges within their own communities. GDO is proud to invest in this program as we work toward a more empowered and self-sufficient future for young people.
